How quickly can you come out?+
Most domestic jobs are booked within 5–10 days. Urgent gutter or commercial work can often be slotted in sooner — just ask when you send your details.
Are you insured?+
Yes. Capital Wash carries £5m public liability insurance and we work to HSE guidance for working at height, chemical use and pressure equipment. Certificates supplied on request.
Do I need to be home for the job?+
Not usually for exterior work — we just need access to the property and an outside tap. We're happy to send before/after photos when we're done so you can see what's changed.
What if it rains on the day?+
Light rain is fine for most exterior cleaning. For roof work and biocide applications we'll reschedule at no cost if the weather isn't safe or would compromise results.
Do you offer fixed prices?+
We publish 'from' prices to give you a clear range. Final quotes come after a quick photo review — that way the price you're given is the price you pay.
How do I pay?+
Payment is due after you've seen the work and you're happy. Bank transfer, card or cash — whatever suits. No deposits, no upfront payments.
Do you use my water?+
For most jobs we use your outside tap. For roof cleaning, larger commercial jobs or if there's no tap access we bring our own water bowser at no extra cost.
Will pressure washing damage my surfaces?+
Not when it's done properly. We match pressure, nozzle and chemistry to the surface — soft-wash for roofs and render, controlled rotary cleaners on driveways, and a much gentler touch on sandstone and decking.
Do you clean commercial properties?+
Yes — shopfronts, signage, cladding, car parks and walkways across the Central Belt. Out-of-hours slots and recurring contracts available with RAMS and £5m PL cover supplied.
Can you remove moss from my roof safely?+
Absolutely. We manually scrape the bulk of the moss (never high-pressure blast tiles), apply a long-lasting biocide, and finish with a gutter clear. Every roof job is risk-assessed and fully insured.
How often should I have my gutters cleaned?+
Once a year for most Scottish homes, twice if you're surrounded by mature trees. Blocked gutters cause more damp problems than almost anything else — it's cheap insurance.
Do you offer any guarantees?+
Yes — if you're not happy with the finish, tell us within 48 hours and we'll come back to put it right. That's the standard we hold ourselves to on every job.
